The PV-DV910 comes with a lens capable of an 18:1 optical zoom which allows for close-up shots with extraordinary clarity so you won't miss a single detail. With the use of digital technology, the zoom ratio can be increased to an amazing 300:1 for an incredibly close shot. The PV-DV910 also offers four different zoom speeds, so you can go from wide angle to full telephoto zoom in 2 to 22 seconds. With the digital camcorder's large 3-inch LCD screen, you can view what you're recording in full vivid color. It also rotates 270°, letting you hold the camcorder at a variety of angles while you record. In addition, with a built-in speaker, you can check your finished recordings right "on location" by playing them back on the LCD screen. Its also features a digital still camera feature that can record 750 still images on one 60 minute DV cassette in LP mode. And, you can transfer these still pictures to your computer via an IEEE 1394 cable (not included); play them back on your TV to create your own slide show; or print them out in full color with the optional Panasonic PV-PD2000 Digital Photo Printer. You'll be amazed by the full color picture the camcorder can produce in low light situations. This is made possible by the included color enhancement light that mounts to the top of the digital camcorder. Digital EIS compensates for unintentional hand and camcorder movement to help stabilize your recordings, even when you're recording from a moving vehicle or walking. The PV-DV910 lets you record sound as either a 12-Bit or 16-Bit digital soundtrack. The 16-bit mode allows you to record audio at extremely high quality for magnificently crisp stereo sound. The impressive 12-bit PCM technology provides two sets of stereo, allowing you to dub new audio while maintaining the existing audio track--perfect for inserting background music or commentary into your videos. Other features include a color viewfinder, IR remote control, slow motion/still frame playback, index and bookmark search capabilities, built in digital special effects including audio/video fade, wipe, mix, strobe, solarization, negative positive reverse and trail, which adds a tail behind moving objects. The camera shoots in black and white as well as sepia tone. Currently the PV-DV910 is on the market for about US$1,399 Features and Specifications
